Corporate History

1972 Fuji Kikaku Co., Ltd. established. Started off with the planning and development as well as the manufacture of educational materials and toys for infants. Launched many hit products.
1986 Obtained a patent for the formula for ionized calcium using oyster shells as raw ingredients.
1987 Commenced sale of Active Absorbable Calcium under the product name 'FUJICAL' at All Japan Drug Chain outlets.
  Participated in the newly inaugurated joint public-private sector project 'Basic Scientific Research Projects in Honor of Longevity' . In collaboration with the National Institution of Nutrition, the Faculty of Medicine of Kobe University, and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Tokyo University of Science, conducted joint research on Active Absorbable Calcium over a period of 3 years, for which a research fund of 30 million yen was granted by the Government.
1988 Active Absorbable Calcium sold at drugstores and pharmacies nationwide via Ohki Co., Ltd. under the product name 'AA Calcium', a best-selling calcium product in the market.
1990 Changed corporate name from Fuji Kikaku Co., Ltd. to FUJIX Corporation.
1991 Set up a laboratory in Ibaraki City, Osaka, and embarked on the research and development of Active Absorbable Algal Calcium(AAA Calcium,3ACalcium).
1995 Entered into a business partnership with Dainippon Ink and Chemicals, Incorporated for the sales operations of '3A Calcium' (until October 1997).
1997年 At the Second International Symposium on Osteoporosis (held at Hotel New Otani Osaka), in the lecture entitled "The Past, Present & Future of Osteoporosis" by Honorary Chairman Dr. Takuo Fujita and in the Symposium on Calcium Supplementation, data on our '3A Calcium' were presented, and the high absorbability of this product won the attention of researchers attending from various countries.
1998 Launched '3A Magnesia' as a medical product. Manufactured by using active magnesium with a higher water-trapping ability than the conventional magnesium listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, this laxative which does not result in stomach aches and is free of side effects, became a huge hit.
2000 Developed an epoch-making product by adding collagen and composite mucopolysaccharide to calcium, and started to market this new product.
2001 Obtained US patent for calcium antagonist.
  Takeshi Inoue assumed the post of Representative Director.
2002 Obtained US patent for laxative containing active magnesium.
2003 Signed a business partnership with Lane Labs-USA, Inc. for sales operations. 3A Calcium and 3A Magnesia began to be shipped to North America, via Lane Labs-USA.
2004 Commenced full-scale shipment to USV Ltd., India. 3A Calcium approved as a medical product in India.
2006 Signed a business partnership with USV Ltd., India for sales operations(World wide exclude US and Japan).
